It's date code stamped on the left side of the barrel. You can look up the codes on the manufactured date link off the Remington Society of America site.

Did Remington make a model 412 shotgun I have an about 20 year old Remington I thought it was a model 412 but it has been so long since I bought it I am trying to find some info on it?

Not a Model 412, a 410 bore shotgun. Pump, Auto, ??? More information needed. If it is a .410 20 years ago the only think that comes to mind they made is a 870 Wingmaster (pump) Well the 11-48 but it would have to had been at least 20 years old when you bought it. The Remington Society of America forums would help you out.

Browning auto shotgun made by Remington sn 25935 How old is it?

A clarification is needed as to what you have. Is it an early Remington shotgun made on the Browning Patent, or is it a Browning A-5 made for Browning by Remington in the 1940's? If the latter, then the serial number would have an alpha character before the number; Therefore I'll assume you have a Remington Autoloading Shotgun made from 1905 thru 1910. When John Browning sold his ( right to manufacture ) Autoloading Shotgun to Fabrique Nationale in March of 1902, he reserved the right to sell in the United States. FN could only sell outside of the US. In order to show his trust in the new gun, John Browning made an agreement to purchase 10,000 guns. These guns were to be marked "BROWNING AUTOMATIC ARMS Co", and he would distribute through the Browning Bros. Company in Ogden Utah. Not all 10,000 guns were actually delivered due to contract disputes later on with Remington (another story) In 1903, after John Browning returned from Belgium, he sold the manufacturing rights to Remington for sales in the US only. Remington started manufacturing in 1905, it was an instant success in the US. One of the agreements with Remington was to start the serial numbers of these guns at 10,000. He didn't want FN guns with the same serial numbers as the Remingtons. (Remington historians are still trying to figure out why they started at 10K) Production continued at Remington until 1910 when the change was made in the model number and the gun became the Remington Model 11. The serial number in question # 25935 was actually made in 1906. Coincidently, I have a Remington Automatic made in 1906 with serial number 26012, made only 77 guns after yours on the assembly lines. I would like to discuss more with you and compare our Remingtons. Perhaps you can go to my message board and leave contact information. Thanks

How do you disassemble a Remington model 770?

There is a small switch on the left side of your gun at the end of the area where the bolt slides into the gun. Flip it up and pull your bolt out. Take the magazine out and your done. As simple as that.....that is if you're just trying to clean your weapon....otherwise you need an armorer.

How can I find out the price of a 1816 Commemorative Flintlock rifle. It was my husband and I don't know the year he received it. His name was Eugene W. Leseman.. Thanks Shirley Leseman?

The 1816 Commemorative Flintlock Rifle was priced at $1800.00 originally in 1995 and was produced in very limited numbers. The original reproduction was on display at the 1995 Shot Show in Las Vegas and I'm sure that it is in the Remington Museum. There is some speculation that Remington had the rifles built by the now defunct Hatfield Company but there is no record of this ever happening. Remington can't verify that this ever happened. All the rifle were produced out of the Remington Custom Shop according to the certificate of authenticity. Remington offered a certificate of authenticity for the rifle but you had to send in the application that was included in the rifle package. The certificate verifies it's production date. The rifles were well constructed in the old methods used by Eliphalet Remington II. They used an Ketland style lock which is very robust. The barrel is a 1-66 twist in 50 caliber, designed to shoot a round ball only. I would say that if your trying to sell the rifle a good asking price would be between $1800.00 and $2500.00 if it's condition is pristine and if you have the certificate of Authenticity. Hope this assists you with your search.

Is the correct word trying or tring?

Trying is correct.

What is the value of a 30 year old Remington 700 BDL .308 Winchester Rifle in great condition with a glenfield wide view scope with see through mounts and sling?

In all honesty, it is worth as much as any other Remington 700 in the same shape. There doesn't appear to be a premium, or a penalty, for the older 700s. I am trying to find exactly what you are describing. I expect to pay 400-600 dollars depending on condition. As for the scope, I don't know what it is worth. 30 year old scopes are not worth much unless they are collector's items.
