When many of the team members feel this way, take them to the next step- involve them in a special project, recognize their contribution and spread word.
Another important point is to find out if the employees do their job because they love to do it or if they feel it is burdensome. Many work for money. In that case you can't give responsibilities because they would consider it as a burden. Rather, gift them for their contributions. It will keep them involved. And for people who love their job and are wiling to take responsibility, give them a higher position and a hike in salary. To prevent envy building up, you can give a choice to employees working only for money- of contributing more and thus moving up the ladder. Seeing the rest, they would be motivated!! And don't forget to plan for weekend get-togethers..
