I've had several different models of Under Cabinet Coffee Makers and none of them have damaged my cabinets. The heat source is below the unit and therefore not directly touching the cabinet.

I saw an under-counter ice maker online at target.com. It was on sale for 359.99, however the normal price was 399.99 I believe. I am not sure if you can get them from walmart or not, but if you can find a price at target and only have a walmart near you, walmart will price match with a copy or picture of the ad. Just print off the ad and take it to walmart (if you have to go to walmart of course).
No there should be no wood damage from and under the counter cofee pot.
