The critical issue is the institutions accreditation. Both Scranton and Temple have the preferred regional accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Therefore, the coursework and degree you complete from either institution will be recognized by all other colleges and universities as well as employers. Temple is a little bit more selective admitting 61% of the applicant pool versus 71% by Scranton. Still, the nursing program itself will be competitive. Thus, I would apply to both and see if you are accepted by either school. If accepted by one of them, just take it. Scranton University will be more expensive to attend. It is slightly above $34,000 per year. Temple is just over $11,000 per year for in-state and $21,000 out-of-state. Thus, this may be something you want to consider. Lastly, the tuition is one thing, but the clinical fees are another, which can increase to total cost dramatically. Thus, you should have your finances in order, to include financial aid if you need to. Make sure the schools give you total disclosure on the total cost. Still, it is worth it for this career? If you have a real passion for the field then, yes it is.

Budget cuts forced the program to close. There are daycare centers close to the university that offer discounts to student, however.
