There a bunch of likely causes but if there are no obvious leaks then I would suspect a stuck open egr valve or a worn out cam shaft.
I replaced the motor in my 1993 G20 with a motor from a Nissan Sentra from Japan.

No, they can be replaced with the engine in the vehicle, but it is not an easy repair.
In the alternator.
Probably the 5.0 150 HP V8.
For G20 engines-SR20DE- Go on E-bay and there are several companies that will ship you an engine with about 50,000 miles for $500 or less. Your labor costs to put it in depends on how much your mechanic charges you to install the engine.
yeah it will... if the g20 had a smallblock v8 it will easily bolt right up to everything
I am unaware of a 5.7 G20, there is a 4.3liter that comes in at 165 HP @ 4,000 rpm; 235 ft lb
Carefully. Why would you bother?
12 mpg
I have a '90 G20 But its the 5.7 V8 and my ECM is behind the driver's seat under the seatbelt in the wall
The power steering pump on a 2000 Infiniti G20 is located on the front, right side of the engine. It provides the hydraulic power to aid in steering.
