50¢. It's not real gold. It's plated.

Your coin is an ordinary copper-nickel half-dollar issued by the billions in honor of the country's Bicentennial. Private companies plated them with a thin layer of gold and sold them at inflated prices as "collectibles". However they're considered altered coins and have little or no collector value.
