The model 26 was in .45 acp, NOT .357. They were made from 1950 until 1966. So, to answer your question, there is no value in something that doesn't exist (a S&W 357 Model 26).
This should have a "flat" or medium grade blue finish on it - not as high polished as a model 27, and there was no other finish option at that time. A few were made with nickel in the N serial range, but not the S range you site.
