Pumpkinseed is a species of fish that is native to the state of Minnesota. Their diet includes a great amount of small fish including minnows who also reside in the same portions of water.
Pumpkinseed fish are omnivores that feed on a variety of food items including aquatic insects, crayfish, small fish, and plant matter. They use their small mouths and specialized teeth to crush and consume their prey. Pumpkinseed fish also use their keen eyesight to locate and capture food in their aquatic environment.

In the US, various sunfish species are collectively called "bream". This comes from the European fish called bream. The species of sunfish called bream (pronounced "brim") are the bluegill, shellcracker, flier, pumpkinseed, green sunfish, warmouth, Roanoke bass, rock bass.
They are mix with bluegills and crappie so they have a bigger mouth then regular bluegill.you would probably feed them worms or neither wax worms or small fish that fits them.
