If an insurance code of 989 is shown on a police report car accident who does that person have car insurance with?
it should be on the report somewhere around the drivers information.....if it is in code, then you should've received a copy of the key to the code if not contact the police dept .... or the officer directly.....who wrote the report
On the police reports in some states the insurance carrier is listed by code. In order to find out what company each party listed is insured by, you will need to obtain a list of the carriers and their codes for that particular state. Some like NY for example are available online.
there should also be a 'key' or code translation attached to the report (will be a list and for example say state farm=2351, allstate=3536) if it wasn't included in what you got, call the police dept back and request one..
ask your police department, they are the ones who issued the code
