yes they did as British soldiers needed help fighting of the communist Greek rebels, soon Britain informed they could not afford to keep their soldiers fighting in Greece so Truman stepped in and sent them money for weapons and equipment. Greece was under communist influence but had a British government because Stalin agreed with Churchill that Greece would remain on the Western sphere of influence. Now Truman also saw Turkey under the threat of Communism so they sent US aid to them as well.
