How would one describe motion parallax?

Motion parallax provides perceptual cues about difference in distance and motion, and is associated with depth perception. For example, if you are riding in a car, objects that are close to you seem to go by really quickly, but objects that are further away appear to move much more slowly.

Why do clocks flash 1200?

Clocks will flash 12:00 when their power supply has been lost, and they have no memory of the correct time. I'm not sure why 12:00 AM was chosen as opposed to some other time, but it is convenient. If you have set your alarm to go off at 6:30 am, but the power goes off, you will be woken up as soon as it is restored, where you can quickly reset the time and go back to sleep.

Why does everything seem to you in slow motion during an accident?

This is an effect of the perception of memory. The stimulation caused by danger makes the amygdala to work harder and consciously perceive more. This creates more memories than when the amygdala is in a less active (normal) state, and causes the perception of memories during that time to seem more condensed, giving the illusion of slowing time. Another example of this phenomenon is how time seems to go faster as you age: Because new impactful memories are created at a slower rate, the perception of time in memory is condensed.
