he is a demi-god. His father, Anchises, is a mortal, while his mother, Venus, is immortal.
Aeneas is mortal because of the mortality of his father, Anchises. Venus was with the mortal Anchises and bore their son, Aeneas, who was a "half-blood," so to speak, and therefore mortal.
aeneas was a Trojan hero who went to Italy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!aeneas was also the son of venus (mother) and anchises (father-mortal) he had a brother, cupid.
Neither, he is a mortal that died in the Trojan War fighting for Troy.
Aphrodite had a son in The Aeneid called Aeneas with a mortal man named Anchises.
Aeneas' father is Anchises - a mortal. Anchises is visited in Book VI of the Aeneid where Aeneas discovers that his father is among the blessed dead. (More than a ghost, but less than a god: something like a minor Roman Catholic saint).aeneas' father was anchises (his mother was venus)Ankhises
Aphrodite had four main affairs with both gods and mortals. -Dionysus (god) -Ares (god) -Aeneas (mortal) -Adonis (mortal) (she loved Adonis the most but she had more affairs with Ares than any other)
He was the child of Venus and Vulcan, but other than Cupid, I believe that Venus' affair with Mars stopped them from having kids. He did have at least one half-brother that I know the name of, and that would be Aeneas, who was the son of Venus and the mortal Anchises. Aeneas was mortal until AFTER his death, when he was cleansed of his mortal parts and upgraded to godly status. NOPE!
This is down to how you interperate it. If you look at their differences, she is immortal and he mortal so they don't have a great family connection. She disguises herself to get important infomation to her son about Libya and Dido whilst evading the need to stay any longer. Also, it is important to note that her disguise is that of a Spartan girl. The description given to the Roman audience is that of a sexually provocative nature at the time so why would she want to do it if Aeneas is her son?
Aeneas faced opposition from various figures during his journey in Virgil's "Aeneid." Notably, the goddess Juno harbored deep resentment towards him and the Trojans, seeking to thwart their destiny of founding Rome. Additionally, Turnus, the leader of the Rutulians, became Aeneas's primary mortal adversary, fiercely opposing his efforts to marry Lavinia and fulfill his fate. Other characters, like the vengeful goddess Venus and the vengeful Queen Dido, also contributed to the challenges Aeneas encountered.
Aeneas died of old age after having settled in Latium (land of the Latins) and having founded the Latin city of Lavinium. After his death his mother, the goddess Venus, asked Jupiter to make him immortal. The river god Numicus cleansed him of his mortal parts and Venus anointed him with Ambrosia and Nectar, making him a god.
Aeneas was from Troy.
The legend of Aeneas was a Roman legend. Aeneas was a hero of the Trojan War. His father was Anchises (the price of Dardania, near Troy) and the goddess Aphrodite (Venus). He was related to the king of Troy. He was rescued from death in battle by Aphrodite and Apollo. Aeneas set sail in search for a new land. He stopped in Sicily where his father died, and then in Carthage. He then landed in Latium (land of the Latins). Latinus, the king of the Latins, welcomed the Trojans and allowed them to settle there. Due to a prophecy, Latinus betrothed his daughter, Lavinia, to Aeneas. This infuriated Turnus, the king of the Rutuli, who had been promised Lavinia's hand. War ensued and Aeneas won. Turnus and Latinus died in that battle. Aeneas then founded the Latin City of Lavimium. When Aeneas died, Venus asked Jupiter to make him immortal. Jupiter agreed. The river god Numicus cleansed Aeneas of his mortal parts and Venus anointed him with Ambrosia and Nectar, making him a god. The legend of Aeneas was also linked to the legend of the foundation of Rome. Ascanius, the son of Aeneas, founded the Latin city of Alba Longa and Its royal dynasty. Romulus and Remus were the sons of Rhea Silvia, the daughter of Numitor, the deposed king of Alba Longa
