Nevertheless, the Biblical accounts do not say Jesus was resurrected three days after the Crucifixion. Depending on which book of The Bible, you look in, they say either that he was found to have been resurrected on the first day of the week, or that he was found to have been resurrected on the day after the Sabbath. Both mean the same thing.
The Jewish Sabbath was a day of rest, in memory of the day God rested after six days of working on the creation, so it was done on the last day, not the first, of the week. The day after the Sabbath was also the first day of the week. The Roman day corresponding with the Sabbath was Saturday, and so the first was of the week was Sunday.
The date of Easter was calculated differently by different branches of the Church, possibly from the very beginning. For this reason, the methods of calculation was recorded, even when they fell out of use. The result is that we can know from history that Easter was always on Sunday, all over the world.
Also the term "third day" is not the same as "three days after." The day of the Crucifixion was Friday, so Friday was the first day. Jesus had to be hurriedly buried of Friday because a dead body was not allowed to remain unburied on the Sabbath. The Sabbath was the second day. The third day was Sunday.

Hey, I'm asking for an answer. The bible never said the passion of Christ should be named Good Friday, Glorious Saturday. I read Sunday as the day Christ resurrected from the dead.
