Cleopatra certainly was not a great leader. Great leader do not lose their kingdoms. As for being a heartless killer, yes, she was a killer; she executed her siblings and many of her political enemies, especially after the defeat at Actium. But to be fair, you have to remember that kings and queens in the ancient world were totalitarian rulers and none of them would hesitate to order executions if they felt threatened in any way. Cleopatra was no exception.
how Cleopatra became a great leader is that she cared for her people and when she was little she had to learn all of the languages to understand her people.
She was a great leader because she was deeply in love with Egypt and she was classified by historiens to be the last pharoah of anicent Egypt
Cleopatra was not a great leader. She was a woman who was overly ambitious and deluded herself into thinking she could rule Rome itself. Consequently she caused her country to become a vassal of Rome. This is not a mark of a great leader by any means.
it was her mother's, grandmother's, great grandmother's, great great grandmother's, and great great great grandmother's name Also, she was her Fathers favorite child, and the name Cleopatra in greek means favoirite of her father.
Cleopatra was not a great leader -- she is merely a famous one. Great leaders do not lose their thrones. However, she was in a difficult position, trying to preserve both her crumbling dynasty and her country's independence. Her greed, ambition and --let's face it--her stupidity (she did not know her enemy) were her downfall.
I believe it was Cleopatra.
Cleopatra was an important person in Egypt.
Cleopatra never married Alexander the Great. They lived about 350 years apart.
Cleopatra became famous in 69 BC, when she was born. She committed suicide in 30 BC. Cleopatra, I assume, was famous as soon as she was born because her father, Ptolemy XII, was Pharaoh. However, he was a disliked Pharaoh and many Alexandrians were plotting to kill him. Cleopatra was his favorite daughter and Ptolemy XII would probably give Cleopatra the throne. Everyone hated Cleopatra too, because her father was not a great leader. Cleopatra became Pharaoh when she was 18 years old.
No, Cleopatra was a Greek descendant of Alexander the Great's general Ptolemy.
Cleopatra by well over a thousand years.
