No. While Napoleonic France did invade and occupy Egypt from 1796-1805, France did not have a longstanding colony in the country and Egypt never became a proper French Départment. (This is as opposed to Algeria which became 7 French Départments before achieving independence.)

Egypt, for the vast majority of its civilized history was an independent country that sat predominantly in Africa and partially in Asia.
