The first "inventor" lived back in the dim recesses of prehistory. Someone had to invent the spear, the bow, basic clothing, and all of the other forms of technology that came about between the origin of human beings as a species and the existence of GW Carver.
George Washington was born in 1732 and was the first President of the United States. He was Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army when they defeated the British and he oversaw the writing of the Constitution. George Washington Carver was born in 1864, and was a botanist, inventor and educator.

Growing up George Had been known as Carver George. When he started school he went by the name: "George Carver". He later added the W and told his friends it was Washington. That's how he got the name "George Washington Carver"

George Washington Carver, the renowned scientist and inventor, received a Bachelor's and Master's degree in agricultural science from Iowa State Agricultural College (now Iowa State University) in the late 1890s. He was the first African-American to attend and later teach at the university.
