Hadrian would have to be classified a one of the better Roman emperors. He was more interested in securing and consolidating the empire rather than conquering and enlarging it. He traveled all over the empire and brought benefits to all the places he visited (Jerusalem excepted) Among his building projects were Hadrian's wall, his magnificent villa at Tivoli and the pantheon.
