No, in fact Helen Keller's teacher (Annie Sullivan) also successfully taught a girl who had the same problems that Helen did around that time. I don't know if it was before or after Annie taught Helen.

I'm sure there have also been other girls that have been the same; we just don't hear about them because their stories aren't as popular.
