Jane Seymour
Edward the VI was Henry VIII's heir. Edward's mother was Jane Seymour who died in childbirth and was Henry's third wife.
Henry VIII wanted to remarry as his wife, Catherine of Aragon, didn't give him a son, but a daughter.
NO HE HATED HER he thought she was terribly ugly but he wanted a boy heir
The lovely Jane Seymour was Henry VIII's third consort and queen. She ruled briefly with him from 1536 until 1537. She gave birth to Henry's much longed for and only male heir, but unfortunately, died from complications arising from childbirth.
to provide a male heir
Anne Boleyn was the 2nd wife of Henry VIII. Henry was hoping that Anne would give him a son, but she gave him a daughter, Elizabeth I. He fancied Jane Seymour, and heard from his old friend that Anne Boleyn was unfaithful. So she was taken to the trial, and was found GUILTY. So she was executed. Later, Henry married Jane Seymour, and Jane Seymour gave Henry a SON! Edward VI. But Jane fell sick after giving birth and died.
i think he loved Jane Seymour the most, she gave him the son and heir he had always wanted, and he was buried next to her.
No,he got married to get a male heir. He got one when he married Jane Seymour and after that he wanted another one.
Before he died, Henry VIII (1491 - 1547) asked to be interred with his third wife, Jane Seymour (c1504-09 - 1537). Jane had been the only wife to give Henry the legitimate male heir he so desperately wanted, and this son, Edward VI, succeeded Henry after his death. Jane had died only days after giving birth to Edward and Henry had apparently been devastated. Henry VIII and Jane Seymour are buried together in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle in England.
