Answer 1
For Muslims, Jesus is a Muslim was a follower of Islam in its universal sense. Islam means full submission to God and surrender to His will. In this sense all prophets are Muslims and are calling for Islam. However, Islam per God revelation of The Bible to Jesus was called Christianity, Islam per God revelation of Torah to Moses was called Judaism, and Islam per God revelation of Quran to prophet Muhammad is called the very name Islam.
Answer 2
Jesus was neither Muslim or Jewish. He was the leader of the Christian religion so neither one of them is possible.
Answer 3
While Jesus was born into the Jewish religion and culture he is a key player in the Christian New Testament and is also present in the Qur'an as a prophet. He was born some 500 years before the Prophet Mohammed founded Islam and so could not be a Moslem.
Answer 4
Yes, Jesus is Muslim. Islam is an Arabic word that means full submission and surrender to God. In this sense all prophets since Adam are Muslims; including the prophets Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Them). However, followers of Islam per Torah are called Jewish, followers of Islam per the Bible are called Christians, and followers of Islam per Qur'an are called Muslims. Refer to question below.
Answer 5
As a general matter-of-fact, if a person were to walk up to Jesus (while he was alive) and ask him what his religion was, he would say he was Jewish. During the events of the Gospels, there was no such thing as Christianity (as codified by Peter and Paul nearly 70 years later) or Islam (as codified by Mohammed and his successors over 600 years later). It is also clear from Jesus' ministry that he was intending to reform Judaism, not create a second religion. His apostles, however, believed that more than Jewish people should be privy to the type of salvation that Jesus was offering and made the religion more open to non-Jews.
