It depends on what you believe.
* There were a few Gnostic sects that did believe Jesus "became" God. They mostly died out in the first few centuries after Jesus, though. If by some chance you belong to one of these, then you might answer "yes" ... "Rabbi" means "teacher", and Jesus was certainly that. The only issue would be exactly when you believe the transformation occurred.
Unless the rabbi was a Messianic Jew he would disagree. A Catholic priest would agree with the claim that Jesus was God.
Rabbi, teacher, Son of God, the Messiah, ect.
Nicodemus called Jesus "a teacher who has come from God". John 3:2 Jesus was called Rabbi which is priest, pastor, teacher.
A:Scholars studying Mark, the earliest New Testament gospel say that it says that in this gospel, Jesus became the son of God at his baptism. In verse 1:11, God spoke to Jesus, to tell him the news that he was his beloved son.The Gospels of Matthew and Luke add nativity stories to the original account, showing that Jesus was begotten of the Holy Spirit, so he became the son of God at his conception.John's Gospel did not need a nativity story to demonstrate that Jesus was the son of God from the time of his conception, as it says that Jesus was the son of God since before creation.
Yes, the Bible makes this very clear. He was alive as part of the Trinitarian God, Father Son and Holy Spirit. John's Gospel, chapter 1 verse 1 states "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God." He goes on to say... "... and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us" as he refers to Jesus. Jesus also claimed this... he once said that 'before Abraham was, I AM." This was very significant as he claimed to have been alive before Abraham, and he used the I AM statement God himself used when Moses spoke to God on the mountain at the burning bush. By saying I AM in this way, Jesus actually claimed to be God.
She was not. She became the mother of God (specifically, the mother of the Son, the second person of the Trinity) at the Annunciation, nine months before the birth of Jesus Christ.
He watched the animals in order to name them. Jesus gave all the animals their names.
God has no age. He always was and always will be. Jesus was with him always.
AnswerScholars say that the synoptic gospels do not describe Jesus as pre-existing. He became the Son of God while on earth. However, John's Gospel says that Jesus existed since the beginning, and so was the Son of God before he was on earth. Take your pick
