No. The author of Matthew's Gospel was keen to associate Jesus with the child prophesied in Isaiah 7:14 ("Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.") A minor problem occurs because this child was to be given the name Immanuel, or Emanuel, but this is somewhat successfully glossed over because the theophoric name also means 'God with us'.
