Not by today's definition. With Jesus, everything was done voluntarily on an individual basis whereas today's socialist everything is done rather involuntarily through the actions of government.
Christ has no affiliation with any political party. There is and never has been a party on earth which abides by the laws of God.
I assume you're asking about Jesus of Nazareth and not any of several others who have claimed the title of Messiah. Calling Jesus a socialist when he lived 1800 years before Karl Marx is like calling the Emperor Nero a Nazi. The category did not exist yet. Jesus encouraged people to give generously of not only their money but their effort to help those who had less, and he did encourage sharing, but he never expounded on an economic theory for the messianic age. I don't think you can call yourself a socialist unless you have a seriously thought out economic theory.
