Andrew John 1:40 One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. John 1:41 He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which means Christ). John 1:42 He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "So you are Simon the son of John? You shall be called Cephas" (which means Peter).

Additional info: Beloved disciple is a term in John's Gospel for a disciple for whom Jesus had deep feelings; variously identified as Lazarus, an anonymous source or author of the Gospel, an idealized disciple, or John's reference to himself without using his own name. Church tradition and interpretation of biblical evidence appear to point to John.
