Stalin and his supporters have highlighted the notion that socialism can be built and consolidated by a country as underdeveloped as Russia during the 1920s. Indeed this might be the only means in which it could be built in a hostile environment. In 1933, Stalin put forward the theory of aggravation of the class struggle along with the development of socialism, arguing that the further the country would move forward, the more acute forms of struggle will be used by the doomed remnants of exploiter classes in their last desperate efforts - and that, therefore, political repression was necessary.

Joseph Stalin
No, that was Joe McCarthy, although they used similar tactics at times trying to find people who they thought were disloyal to their countries.
Joseph Stalin grew up in quite a poor family. He was born in Gori, Georgia, in 1879. He was born into poverty that most peasants living in Russia were going through. He was his mother's fourth child, but the other three died and Stalin suffered from health problems as a child. This caused his mother to be seriously protective of him. Stalin was good in school and eventually won a scholarship to the Tiflis Theological Seminary. While studying here, he joined a secret organisation called Messame Dassy. Many members were socialist revolutionaries, and it was through these people that Stalin became interested in the ideas of Karl Marx. In 1899, Stalin was expelled from the Tiflis Theological Seminary. Later in life, he claimed the reason for why he was expelled was for trying to convert students at his school to Marxism. Karl Marx was Stalin's role model and inspired him. I hope this helped.
At the end of World War Two, Poland was subjugated by the Soviet Union (Stalin). Poland had been an ally (on the winning side), never the less, it was treated by Stalin as an enemy. Stalin murdered much of the Polish military & civilian leadership and replaced them with communist puppets. Stalin was one of the most ruthless, dangerous, and murderous dictators in world history. Probably the least trustworthy person alive during Truman's Presidency.
A democracy is a democracy where the whole population votes onan issue (such as a new law trying to be passed) and in a represenative democracy there is a representative that has been elected by the people that votes on an issue. An example of a representative democracy would be the united states because the people of the U.S. vote on a representative for the senate and the house of representatives to vote on law that are trying to be passes.

" In May, 1899, Stalin was expelled from the Tiflis Theological Seminary. Several reasons were given for this action including disrespect for those in authority and reading forbidden books. Stalin was later to claim that the real reason was that he had been trying to convert his fellow students to Marxism."
Joseph Cornell's artwork's are all different from one another, not all of them represent or are trying to express the same emotions or meanings. I personally believe they are trying to express dreams, fantasy or life.
