No, they are not responsible for its creation. However, they did create a couple of games for them Oracle of Ages (Game Boy Color), Oracle of Seasons (Game Boy Color), A Link to the Past and the Four Swords (Game Boy Advance), and Minish Cap (Game Boy Advance). It is also important to not that A Link to the Past was a remake of the Super Nintendo game.

The actual Series was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka, who were also responsible for the Mario series.
