Jesus himself was baptized. I am sure he would have ensured his mother was also. However, I believe others can add to this. I just do not remember reading anything pertaining to Her baptism.

Yes. Acts 1:13, 14. Acts 2 says they were all baptized in the name of Jesus.

Is Mary a god?

No, Mary is not a god nor has she ever been viewed as a god by Christians or the Christian church. The concept that Mary was a god can be traced back to an error within the Qur'an. Muhammad falsely believed that the Christian Trinity consisted of God the Father, Jesus the Son and Mary the Mother. However, this is not what the Trinity ever was. It was merely Muhammad's (and others) lack of knowledge and misunderstanding surfacing when constructing the Qur'an. See Sura 5:116, ""O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to mankind:'Worship me and my mother as two deitiesapart from God?'" mary was a usefull vessel for jesus to be born into this world she is a bless mother but human like us all.

Why is Mary called the Blessed Virgin Mary?

Our Blessed Mother, Mary is full of grace for many reasons. Of all humans after the Fall from grace of Adam and Eve, Mary alone was the only person born without the stain of original sin. This was allowed byGod Almighty in preparation for choosing her to be the Mother of Jesus, Mary still had a choice when the angel appeared to her at the Annunciation, and then she agrred to accept to be the woman that would become the Mother of the Living God. Again she was filled with grace as the shadow of the Holy Spirit came over her to plant the seed that would become Jesus. Next came the acceptance of Joseph in faith and obedience to be her spouse, the earthly"Father" of Jesus and protector of Mary and Jesus. Mary lived by faith her whole life, and faith is a given grace, not an intellectual choice. She was the Mother, but was taught by her Son. Her final grace while still on this earth was the Assumption.Rather than the cold of the grave, she was assumed into Heaven, there to be crowned Queen of Heaven. We also believe Mary to be "ever Vigin" Spotless before birth and pure for all eternity

How were the writers of the gospels linked to Jesus?

Matthew was a former tax collector who was a disciple of Jesus.Mark was the son of Mary of Jerusalem (not Mary the mother of Jesus). He came to know Peter the disciple as his major source of information about Jesus. It is uncertain if he ever met Jesus in person, although he probably knew about him.Luke was a gentile physician and a traveling companion of Paul. He talked with Mary as the source for his infancy narratives. He also used other sources for his Gospel but it is unlikely he ever met Jesus personally.John was Jesus closest personal acquaintance and the 'beloved disciple'.

Why is Mary your spiritual mother?

Mary is the Mother of Jesus. During Jesus three hour agony on the Cross, He gave Her to us when He Said "Woman, Behold Thy son. Son, behold thy Mother". The Most Holy Trinity has Willed that Mary, the Most Holy Mother of God be our Mother too! And She Is the Best Mother we can ever wish for! Answer People often choose some righteous person as their mentor. Mary is chosen by some because she was a virtuous woman who believed in God, and being overcome by the Spirit bore her first born son, Jesus. Little is known about her apart from what has already been stated. As we can have no communication with Mary her example is all that some have to rely upon.

What are the 4 dogmas of the Blessed Virgin Mary about?

The four dogmas of the Blessed Virgin Mary are the Immaculate Conception, the Perpetual Virginity, the Divine Motherhood, and the Assumption. The Immaculate Conception refers to Mary's conception free from original sin. The Perpetual Virginity affirms that Mary remained a virgin before, during, and after the birth of Jesus. The Divine Motherhood declares that Mary is the mother of Jesus, who is both fully human and fully divine. The Assumption teaches that Mary was assumed into Heaven, body and soul, at the end of her earthly life.
