Michael Faraday did write articles for the Royal Society and gave some public lectures, but did not write any novels.

ADDED: The Royal Society continue the public lecture tradition annually, around Christmas, with science talks and demonstrations in Michael Faraday's name, and designed to interest children as well as adults.
