After the 2005 trials Michael hated Neverland and moved to Bahrain for over a year then briefly to Ireland. He came back to the US when his idol James Brown passed away at the end of December 2006. Michael then lived in a rented home in Holmsby Hill until June 25th, 2009 when he died of cardiac arrest.

He lived at the Jackson's Encino compound until he purchased Neverland, after he left NL he lived in Bahrain for a while, as well as Ireland and Vegas and finally in the Holmby Hills.
