Dr. Carlos Montezuma was a Yavapai-Apache physician and a Native American rights activist. He believed in the importance of preserving Native American culture, language, and sovereignty. I agree with his beliefs in the need for Native American self-determination and cultural preservation, as these are fundamental rights that all indigenous peoples should have.
