Richard Nixon was never a governor of Georgia. Richard Nixon was from California, where he represented the state in the House of Representatives and in Senate until he was Vice President from 1953-1961 for Eisenhower. He then ran for Presidency in 1968 until 1974 when he resigned from office due to the Watergate Scandal.
