The phoenix's existence is unknown but also unlikely. A Phoenix is a mythical sacred firebird that is found in Persian, Greek, Egyptian and Chinese mythologies. A Phoenix is said to have a 1000 year life cycle. It then builds a nest and ignites itself and the nest, reducing it to ashes. There, a new Phoenix chick rises from the ashes.

The phoenix is a myth. Although the strict definitions between myth and legend are blurred a legend usually is a tale of a person or adventure where as a myth will explain an aspect of the world or tell a story.

The Phoenix is a mythological bird that is typically associated with rebirth and renewal. It is not a real, physical creature in the natural world.

Yes. There are some interesting descriptions of it from different cultures that attempt to be realistic, but the phoenix is a mythical symbol of resurrection.
