No, the camps were well guarded and the outer perimeter fences - there were usually two and sometimes three of them - had high voltage currents. Escape was very difficult and very rare.
that is abit of a silly question because no one wanted to go to the concentration camps but if the Germans found them they had to go as soon as they arrived they knew that they were going into the camps
to keep people in one place, for easy access to the people.
They allowed for easy identification for which type of prisoner people were. This would not only dictate how they were treated and which kinds of jobs they could do, but it also determined how much food they got.
You're question is your answer, to concentrate a population into a small area. Forced labor and easy access.
it depends upon where they were and when it was, the closer to the end of the war, the less likely that there would be a trial. The further east it was, the less likely that the sentence would be lenient.
Racism was strong in the US in the 1940s and there was a fear that the were spies or saboteurs for Japan. Like blacks the Japanese people are easy to recognize and thus easy to discriminate against. There was also a strong (but incorrect) belief that the attack on Pearl Harbor could not have been as effective as it was had there not been Japanese agents on the island somehow helping guide the attacking planes in, and they would of course have been Japanese Americans. To prevent this possibility on the west coast, Japanese Americans had all their property confiscated and then they were sent to concentration camps well inland from the coast. (yes we called them internment camps, but they were concentration camps regardless of that they were called)
dude r u serios this is so easy.. r u like 10 years old? the died by like the put the Jews in gas chambers and burned them.. and used some for expirements ..
Anne Frank's purpose was to stand up against the persecution of Jewish people during the Holocaust by sharing her experiences through her diary. It was not easy for her, as she and her family lived in hiding for over two years, facing constant fear and hardship before being discovered and sent to concentration camps.
Lots of people knew that the death camps existed. However, WW II was a considerable distraction. In addition, ignorance is always easy for people who are intellectually lazy. How many people are well informed about the events taking place right now in the year 2010?

Only one concentration camp was converted into a death camp, or rather it was expanded and a death camp was added, this was Auschwitz. The death camps that were had served their purpose, they were created to murder those Jews in the ghettos, when this was done, they were dismantled. There was still a need for a killing centre and with good rail connections and access to coal, Auschwitz was a good location.
The Nazi death camps was put into use after the occupation of Poland in 1939. After the Nazis had Jews, poles and other groups of people who were procecuted by the Nazis. Nazis wanted to kill all the Jews and any Non-Aryan Germans, so they decided to establish bunch of Death camps and Extermination camps.
