Christians mostly killed Muslims and Jews during the Crusades. The whole thing was wrong- it was a slaughter.
When the Christians came; they would kill the Muslims.
Christians joined the Crusades for a variety of reasons, including religious fervor, a desire to reclaim holy sites in the Holy Land, promises of spiritual rewards and indulgences from the Church, and the opportunity for adventure, wealth, and land. Additionally, some saw it as a way to protect and spread Christianity.
no! pope urban 2 said God wanted christian people to kill arabics so the crusades started.
They didn't.
Kill CHRISTIANS
No - why?
Indonesian Muslims never ever kill Christians. It was just a political war when Christians selected to be separated from main land Indonesia for political reasons.
The Crusades. There were many Crusades, but the main aim was to rid the Holy Land of Turks, who the Emperor of Constantinople did not like. The Pope was looking for a reason to create a super-power, and then the Emperor sent him a letter complaining about the Turks, so the Pope decided to take advantage of the opportunity. So many people decided to go because the Pope promised that if they went, they would definitely have a place in Heaven. He said that it is not a crime to kill people, if they are not fellow Christians. This is why many people went, and gave up jobs.
They don't
No,
The Byzantine emperor Alexius Comnenus wrote a letter to the council of Piacenza in 1095 asking for help to free the christians in Jerusalem from persucation of the Muslims. The pope, Urban II gave permission to kill the infidels (the muslims) at the council of clermont and this caused this mass expedition which followed into the capture of Jerusalem. This first expedition was the bowling ball for all of the other crusades that have followed.
The Crusades generated that the church could even make a huge mob to kill anything they disliked, which shows power.
