Rudolphs mother wasnever named but his father isnamed donner and people call Rudolphs mother mrs.donner
Sometimes it is said Santa gave him it so that they could see where they are going, however, in the classic, he was just born with it.
Well, if you can believe the xmas TV show (the one with the Burl Ives smowman) then I believe Rudolph's dad is Donner. :-DD Actually, none of Santa's reindeer fathered Rudolph. Rudolph the Red-Nosed-Reindeer is a story written by Robert L. May for Montgomery Ward department stores. In the original story, Rudolph didn't even grow up in the "North Pole." He grew up in an "ordinary" reindeer village, born to regular reindeer. Santa happened upon Rudolph one foggy night, while delivering presents to his house. He asked Rudolph to guide his sleigh, and that's when it all began. Now, in the movie, Donner is his father, but that is not how it is in the actual book.
Rudolph was created by Robert L. May in 1939
Olive, The Other Reindeer was a television special that aired in 1999. The title is a pun from a line in the classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer song; "All of (Olive) the other reindeer...". In the television special, Olive is a dog who believes she is a reindeer after hearing on the radio that Blitzen is injured and Santa hopes he can make the Christmas run with "all of the other reindeer". So begins her journey to the North Pole to fill in...antics ensue.
I assume you mean the classic (?) Johnny Marks song. There is no mention of a Little Girl in the song lyrics, even by implication. Santa claus, yes, all of the other reindeer, but no child characters- in the SONG.
Robert L. May is best known for the creation of the iconic Christmas character "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer". Initially started as a cartoon series in Montgomery Ward catalogs, the character's popularity soared to include songs, animated features and the classic stop-motion animation holiday special still aired today.
Burl Ives sings Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, in the movie anyway there have been lots of renditions by many singers, famous and unknown!
White Christmas, The Bells of Saint Mary's, Miracle on 34th Street, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer are some of the all time favorite Christmas movies. A Christmas Story is also becoming a more modern classic.
