The real answer is, "best" is a matter of opinion. It's like asking "What's the best car to buy?" All depends on your musical taste. Some would say Miles Davis, others might argue Louis Armstrong. Could go on forever... Dizzy Gillepsi Wynton Marsalis
Yes, the trumpet 1 part is normally harder than trumpet 2 or 3 and normally the best player or players play on the first trumpet part.
Many believe that Steven Davis, is their best player.
Dizzy Gillespie. He is amazing! :) Louis Armstrong as well. Both are outstanding trumpet players that EVERYONE should know :p Also...Miles Davis, Wynton Maralis, Dizzy Gillespie, Clifford Brown, Lee Moran & Clark Terry to name a few more. :)
Are you sure you mean Art Blakey? To the best of my knowledge, he was a jazz drummer, not a trumpet player.
anthony davis
The best imitator of himself. Maybe.
Many, many records of his own (Kind of Blue his most popular), played for many others as well, still noted for one of the best Jazz Improvisational Trumpet players, a large influence in the style of Jazz, etc.
harry corbin was an amzing bugle player he is one of the best when he fought in world war 2 Harry Corbin was the finest bugle player during WWII, my grandfather STILL talks about his talent. He often goes on and on about how when Harry touch the instrument it would take him back home to Tennessee.
"Best" is a matter of opinion, and there is no real way to answer the question.
