The characters, Rose & Jack were fictional (not-real) developed for the movie Titanic. There were many rumors that circulated after the movie was made about wether or not these characters were real. The director of Titanic developed Rose and Jack from being inspired by stories of different passengers, memoribilia and some love letters from various passengers that were on the real Titanic ship. Fun Fact: There was a J. Dawson tomb stone located nearby the sea in Scotland, which Titanic fans leave notes, candles and yes...roses! However, this tomb-stone is believed to be a ship mate that was lost at sea from the Titanic. There is no evidence to prove otherwise.
