Actually that's hyper knuckles that's pink, super knuckles is yellow like super sonic and super tails you see this is sonic heroes. super knuckles is also pink (i tried it).

Why can't I use Super Sonic in Sonic 3 even if I have all 7 emeralds?
You should be able to. After you collect 50 rings, double jump to turn into Super Sonic. It won't work if you have any kind of shield, you have to lose your shield first. Also, if you are playing Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and you get to Mushroom Hill Zone (which is the first Sonic & Knuckles stage), you are able to find the Super Emeralds...and you lose your ability to become Super Sonic. To become Super Sonic again, you need to find all seven Super Emeralds. After you find the seven Super Emeralds, double-jumping with fifty rings will actually cause you to become Hyper Sonic (which is more powerful than Super Sonic).

To answer your question, the Super Emeralds are stronger than the Chaos Emeralds. The Super Emeralds are featured in Sonic 3 & Knuckles which is Sonic & Knuckles with Sonic 3 Locked On in original Sega Genesis format. Capturing the 7 Chaos Emeralds in that game with Sonic or Knuckles would turn either of them to their "Super" Form, whereas they would do nothing for Tails. Crossing over into the Sonic & Knuckles side of the game from the Sonic 3 portion with all 7 Chaos Emeralds in hand allows you to attain the Super Emeralds which are the enhanced versions of the Chaos Emeralds, powered up by the power of the Master Emerald. Attaining all 7 of the Super Emeralds with Sonic or Knuckles will allow either of them to change to their "Hyper" Form whereas Tails becomes "Super Tails" and has some of the animals saved from Robotnik in super form as well helping him. Therefore the Super Emeralds must be Stronger than the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic and Knuckles' Hyper Forms include increased speed over their Super Forms, as well as them glowing a ranges of colors other than just the golden glow they have in their Super modes. Sonic's Hyper mode also gives him an air dash which he can use in any direction when he jumps. Does that hell?

Hi! Knuckles is an ECHIDNA (you say it like ikidna) Knuckles does love searching for treasure and is super strong. Sonic's faster than him and he does encounter Rouge the Bat, who also loves treasure. But Rouge steals treasure instead of finding it. Knuckles was born on Angel Island. He and Sonic are both good friends and rivals at the same time. Weird, huh? I'll post more info later. See ya!Knuckles is stoic and very good at kicking butt. NOT LITERALLY! Yes, but he only made one appearance. If you link together Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, you get Sonic 3 & Knuckles, a game that is a combo of the two, including all levels playable as all characters (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Sonic & Tails), and a new set of emeralds to collect on top of the chaos emeralds. These were the hyper emeralds. Collect them all and get 50 rings to unlock hyper sonic. Hyper sonic is super sonic but much faster, and with a double jump ability. You sacrifice your super sonic ability as you pursue the hyper emeralds. There is also a secret ending to the game with all of the hyper emeralds. Sonic 3 & Knuckles is my all time favorite Sega game, and I've played all of the Sonics.

Since then, Knuckles has been a valuable ally for Sonic, when the two don't disagree. Another reason Knuckles and Sonic fight is because of their personality differences. Sonic is cocky, arrogant, and free spirited; Knuckles is stern, hotheaded, and quick to anger. Sonic frequently catches Knuckles at the worst times like when Knuckles is being flirted with, with that in mind Sonic taunts Knuckles on for days like an immature child. This also eggs on fights.
