Once a car is rebuilt, it is rebuilt forever
Olympics is Greek. Colosseum is Roman.
Augustus was important in Roman life on several fronts. He gave the Roman people an era of peace and a stable government structure. He appointed men to the senate from wide ranging backgrounds, thus giving many more parts of Roman society a voice in the senate debates. He rebuilt the city's infrastructure, repaired aqueducts and brought in new ones, began Rome's first corp of firefighters, and changed the structure of the Roman army.
The Colosseum was built in Rome because it was the immense capital of the Roman Empire, and at the time the largest and greatest city in the world. Similar buildings (amphitheatres) were built throughout the empire and other ancient civilizations, but none rivalled the size and majesty of the Colosseum in Rome. The structure was intended to glorify the Empire and arouse pride in the people of Rome, but more than anything else it was to make the masses happy and therefore easier to govern. Rome needed something to do this and the Emperor Vespasian chose an immense arena where games could be held. The simple truth is, Rome needed a place to entertain people. Rome may have had a million inhabitants at this time, so it needed to be built on a colossal scale. It was also intended to be Rome's answer to the greatest building of earlier antiquity still standing - the Great Pyramid. So, the Colosseum benefited by being built on a larger, grander, more innovative scale than ever before and by being in near-constant use for centuries. Rome benefited by pacifying the people and glorifying the Emperor.

The Colosseum, or the Coliseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheatre (Latin: Amphitheatrum Flavium, Italian Anfiteatro Flavio or Colosseo), is an elliptical amphitheatre > in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, < the largest ever built in the Roman Empire. It is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering.Source: Wikipedia.
No one has ever lived in the Colosseum. That is like asking how many people live in a sports arena because that is what the Colosseum is a "sports arena". It is the first of its kind built in Rome, Italy over 2,000 years ago and could hold 50,000 people. It had water fountains, a cover for shade, and a system of pulleys and robes so animals and people could appear on the floor of the arena through trapdoors. The modern arena copies what was built in Rome.
