The basic answer is No, but it needs fuller explanation.

There are two kinds of Mosaic law, if you will, ceremonial (think regulations about how to dress and what to eat) and moral (e.g., the Ten Commandments). Jesus came to fulfill the Law, the moral law, which He did by his sinless life. He also took upon himself our penalty for breaking the moral law in His death on the cross. However, He did not come to replace or end the law of God. Therefore, the law continues in force (a commandment given as good by God continues to be good). We are encouraged by Jesus' example to follow the law as He did, and we are saved from the penalty for breaking it by His death.

Moses was given the Law of God for the children of Israel to use as their guide in all living matters. Because the people had such difficulty following, about 1 year after this event God gave Israel the Ceremonial or Sacrificial laws (hukkim) to help the people learn and remember the Moral Law (mishpatim) containing all the Commandments.

The Law was amended after Jesus' perfect Passover sacrifice. His Resurrection stopped the need for any animal sacrifices. The office of the earthly High Priest was also discontinued as Jesus is our Eternal High Priest and Mediator between humankind and God the Father. However the Moral Law was 'filled to the brim' by Jesus who gave us the spiritual side of it. It will not be discontinued as humankind's 'tutor' until we have all repented, been baptized and begotten by God's Holy Spirit and changed into spiritual sons and daughters in the God Family:

Matthew 5:17-19New King James Version (NKJV)Christ Fulfills the Law17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill (fill to the brim). 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

What are the components of Mosaic law?

After the Exodus, when the Israelites left Egypt, the Lord gave Moses the Ten Commandments and numerous other laws (Exodus 19-40). This entire system of laws, called the Mosaic Law or simply the Law, provided the framework for the Israelite's relationships with God, with one another, and with the nations around them. The Mosaic Law is the central theme of the Books of Moses, or Torah. Christian teaching, particularly as developed by the Apostle Paul, shows that we can never keep the Law to God's satisfaction. Instead of the sacrifices required under the Mosaic Law, Jesus' death serves as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins once and for all.

Why was Jesus the quintessential Jew?

As a quintessential, or perfect and typical, Jew, Jesus would have accepted without question the Mosaic law, including the law that forbade work on the Sabbath. By failing to observe these laws, Jesus could not have been the quintessential Jew.

Why do Seventh-day Adventists not recognize the Mosaic Law?

In the Bible, it says that when Jesus died, the law died with Him...now most people believe that this was the 10 commandments but in fact it was the law of Moses that died with Jesus.....to explain, Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. Moses' law was one that had people sacrificing animals to cleanse themselves from sin, but God sent Jesus to die for our sins so we no longer need Moses' law.
