Absolutely. Apple's strategy is brilliant. Netbooks were slowly catching up in the market, but apple realized that the netbooks in the market aren't that great. They built iPad to compete with netbooks, and from what I've seen so far, we can definitely expect a drop in netbook sales. People will prefer iPad especially since it can run iPhone apps. There are over 140,000 apps for iPhone, and by promoting iPads, apple is going to increase their app sales.

I just purchased a netbook and I want to get wireless service. How do I do that when I don't have a disk drive?
Your netbook does have a hard drive, it's just likely a solid state one. Without one your netbook would be useless. At minimum your netbook should have 802.11 wireless built in. If you already have DSL/Cable at home, you can simply purchase a wireless router to give the netbook internet access. If you want access on the road then you should look into getting a cellular modem, provided that you have 3G in the areas you will be traveling. Anything less than 3G would not be worth having due the slowness.
