Deshret
If you're talking about the red pyramid in the Red Pyramid then its because in Egypt red was a bad color and it meant blood and death (If you think black is a bad color in Egypt It's not black actually means rich soil.) and Set the god of war in Egypt wears red so that's how it glows red
The black lands where farming areas around the nile and the red lands are deserts. They call the farming areas black lands beacause the soil when the nile floods (whitch is like a natrual ferilizer for the crops) is black. But, in the desert the sand and soil are a redish color (I am not sure why it is a redish color).
The Black Soil!!
The main types of red soil are laterite soil, red clay soil, and red loam soil. Laterite soil is rich in iron and aluminium, red clay soil is highly fertile but prone to waterlogging, and red loam soil is a mix of sand, silt, and clay with good water retention capacity.
The fine soil that was deposited at the mouth of a river in Egypt was called silt.
