The vessel was meticulously planned by several naval engineers.
Many plans were penned in the Drawing Offices, which were onsite.
The titantic was just built before it set sail. it was Brand new
Several things happened the week that Titanic completed. Fenway Park was just about to open in Boston and author Bram Stoker had just died.
Titanic's keel was laid in 1909 on March 31st and she was still being completed when she sailed on April 19th, 1912.
Then all that kinds of people wound't have died, and it would just the way it was.
Just BEFORE midnight, at about 11.50pm.
The Titanic's sister ships were called the Olympic and the Britannic. The Olympic was the 'lead ship' and built first. The Britannic was built after the Titanic and was originally going to be called the Gigantic.
Just before West Harling was built.
yes it is becasue the next biggest boat is being built and it is reallt small conpaired to titanic titanic is the size of about 12 stories high or mabe higher and about 20 miles long(looks like it)the new biggest boat is only 2 miles long and 2 stories high! At the time titanic was the biggest ship ever built no ship as been built whats 2 miles long though as this would be around 10000 feet long not far of the depth it is from titanic which is at 12460 feet The Titanic was the 2nd of 3 ships built to the same design. Titanic was just slightly heavier than the original Olympic due to the more luxurious fittings that Titanic had. The third ship Britanic was heavier than Titanic and in later years more weight was added to the Olympic, so it became bigger in tonnage than the Titanic had been.
The hull of Titanic split (but not in half) just a few minutes before 2:20 AM on April 15, 1912.
The Olympic, titanic and brittanic were all built from the same plans. The original idea was for three near identical ships to run the trans Atlantic route. Olympic and titanic were built together with Olympic completed first. Lessons learnt from her design were corrected on titanic, and after the titanic sank lessons from that were corrected on the brittanic. Still the same standard plan just modified to suit times and needs.
The iceberg that sank the Titanic was spotted just before the collision by two of the ship's lookouts, Fred Fleet and Reginald Lee.
Yes it just did not have enough for all passengers.
