Catholics honor the Virgin and the saints. Worship is reserved only for God. Nothing changed about this during the Council of Trent.
Yes, the Council of Trent reaffirmed the veneration of saints and the Virgin Mary as important aspects of Catholic belief and practice. It emphasized the intercessory role of saints and Mary in prayers, while also condemning any worship that detracts from the adoration due to God alone.
Catholics have never advocated the worship of the Virgin Mary and the saints. Catholics worship only God and honor the saints. When we honor the saints, we honor their creator.
The conclusion that worship of saints and the Virgin Mary is encouraged was NOT made at the Council of Trent.
Catholics do not worship saints, the Blessed Virgin, idols or the pope. They worship only God. Now that is a crazy fact that many Protestants will contest but a fact nonetheless.
Praying to saints and the Blessed Virgin was most definitely NOT discouraged at the Council of Trent. Salvation comes exclusively from Our Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ, but to attain this salvation one must needs have works as the Bible plainly states. But no Church Council ever taught that salvation is won by good works, salvation only comes through the good works of Our Blessed Lord on the cross for our salvation - we do not "earn" salvation by working for it, even though without works, we are most probably damned.
The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Queen of Saints.
It means that she is the Queen of all the Saints.
Catholics do not worship the Virgin of Guadalupe. Catholics worship God alone.
You worship by entering the church, lighting a candle, venerating (honouring) the holy icons by kissing them, then taking part in the services. If you are an Orthodox Christian, you can also take part in Holy Communion and other sacraments. In the Eastern Orthodox Church, while the Virgin Mary and the Saints are venerated, they only worship Jesus Christ as God, since Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Icons and saints are venerated, not worshipped.
Because the Virgin Mary is the Queen of all the Saints.
