No, it was 150 years old in 2009, and is the 3rd tallest free standing clock tower in the world. It was part of the design for new building after Westminster was largely destroyed by fire in 1834, designed by Charles Barry. The actual clock tower will probably be renamed the Elizabeth Tower, as a tribute to our Queen in her jubilee year
