Yes there was one. There name was the Pittsburgh Gladiators. In fact, they played in the first game ever for Arena Football [vs Washington Commandos in 1987. Their colors were green and gold, and they appeared in Arena Bowl's 1 and 3 [I and III]. They played their home games in the Pittsburgh Civic Center in Pittsburgh, PA. they one of the four original teams in the Arena Football League [AFL, not to be confused with the American Football League]. The team was named by Robert Ninehouser.
