There are crimes and murders everywhere so naturally there was some during the California Gold Rush. If you want a better answer how about you actually research it.
Because so many miners were looking for gold that all the gold was running out making it hard to find any.
This is just a guess, but during the gold rush they were cooks and diggers. Cooks: They would cook a lot of Chinese food that all the gold diggers loved which they would of made bundles of money and gold. Diggers: they would just dig for gold and hope for the best. But in most cases they would be discriminated against any attacked for their race.
The gold rush began at Sutter's Mill in Colima, CA. John Marshall discovered gold in the traces of the mill in 1848. Once the gold was discovered the rush was on. A newspaper headline stated "Eureka, Gold Found". The average pay was about 10.00 a month, but a man could make 50.00 a day if he found gold. Within months over 10,000 a day were coming into the area any way they could. Sutter lost in the gold rush. He lost his fortune , mill, and ended up a broke unhappy man. By 1850 CA became a state on Sept. 9, 1850.
there wasnt really any gold in the begging. only around 1.5 million dollars worth of gold was found during it and with all the people flocking over there hardly anyone found any. it was most likely just a way to move people west
abaut 25% of gold was found in California and there is 75% still in California

Mainly train, horse, and horses and carts, but if you couldn't afford those (i.e. before you had any gold or money) you would have to walk from Ballarat to the mines.
Yes: But it is better known as the Klondike Gold Rush. In the summer of 1897 (First Year of the Gold Rush) three ships were reported to have delivered $1,139,000 of Gold, About $49,000,000 if sold today. This is now thought to be a wild under reported amount. It may be by a factor of 10. In other words, $11,1390,000 or $490,000,000 at today's prices. As the Government of the time did not have the resources to keep track of the Gold leaving the gold fields it is not known how much was found.
Everywhere. They came any way they could on foot, by wagon, by ship. When the gold rush started the rush of people started. That's why CA became a state in 2 years.
