No there haven't been.
No, it will not. After 1994 the Geo Metro became more curved so any part from before 1995 will not fit your geo metro. You can use any hood from 1995 - 1999 depending on the body style.
Yes it is. Any Metro transmission made after the year 1994 will fit in your 98 Metro.
I HAVE HAD A GEO METRO IN 1 FORM OR ANOTHER SINCE 1987. TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ON ENGINE COMPATIBILITY ANY METRO 3CYL ENGINE FROM 1989 -1997 WILL WORK. I PREFER 1993.5 UP DUE TO A MORE DURABLE TIMEING BELT
It depends on the year and wheel configuration of your metro. Most metros have a 4 lug 12 inch wheel design whereas the Prizm has a 4 lug 13 - 14 inch wheel base. They may fit on a Geo Metro Convertible or any Geo Metro made after 1995 because after 95 the metro had 13 inch wheels. I would check by direct comparison first.
top right engine.. atop the transmission. Easily accessible with any pliers or wrench. A real do it yourselfer
Yes, a 1994 Geo Metro manual transmission should fit a 1995 Geo Metro, as both models share similar engine configurations and transmission designs. However, it's essential to verify compatibility by checking specific part numbers and any potential differences in mounting points or wiring harnesses. Always consult a repair manual or a professional mechanic for confirmation.
My 1999 Chev. Metro has fuel injection. I doubt that any of them were carbureted.
Sure will. Any Metro motor from 1989-1997 will fit in it assuming that they are of equal size (ie) 3 cylinder 1.0L to 3 cylinder 1.0L. You can put a bigger engine like a 1.3L from a Swift in it but it requires a bit of tweaking.
No, a 91 metro transmission will not fit in a 98. A 91 will fit any metro between 1988 - 1996 though. After 1996 a lot of Metro's became 4 Cylinder which made them different from the previous generation metros. It may fit if the engine sizes are correct (1.0 litre 3 cylinder to the same but do not mix and match).
it is probably because it doesn't have a condenser. most Geo metro's are for gas millage not for any thing els. and don't buy one to put on it if it never had one it wont handle it overheating bigger radiators.
Thils is a typical problem in the geo transmission. There is a check valve in the shift body of the transmission. It is easily fixed and costs next to nothing. If you haven't fixed it by now contact me and I'll give you the information. Mr Geo Metro leehduncan@verizon.net
