Jews were generally used as money-lenders in the Middle Ages because Christians were not allowed to lend money. In spite of this, there was still a lot of persecution. This varied by area. Roman rulers, for example, tended to be more lenient than others.
The chief characteristics to Renaissance art compared to the Middle Ages art was that Middle Age Art was very vague and never used perspective, as well as there were not a whole lot of emotions and expressions used in the Middle Age art. on the other hand, Renaissance art used a lot of perspective and had the people in the art more natural and they used more emotions in the pictures.

In the start of the Middle Ages, there were still some pagans in the area that had been the Roman Empire, and pagans remained in northern and eastern Europe. There were other Christian groups. The Coptic Orthodox Church and the Oriental Orthodox Church were two that remain today. There were also other Churches, like the Celtic Church, and a variety of heretical organization, such as the Cathars, that were more ephemeral.

It is characterized by a so-called rebirth of civilization, creating the modern age. The Middle Ages were the middle time between the ancient world and the modern. They ended in the 15th century.
