Horace and Virgil were both poets of ancient Rome. Their lives overlapped by quite a bit with Horace living from 65 BCE to8 BCE and Virgil living from 70 BCE to 19 BCE.
Virgil was before the time of Christ and didn't have the required faith, so he was forever trapped in Limbo.
